A Bachelor's degree in Botany is the standard form of qualification for this field, it allows graduates to be employed into entry level positions such as laboratory technician or assistant positions in education, industry, government and environmental organizations.
A Bachelor's degree in Botany with Honours usually involves a honours project which is looked upon quite favourably as it considered relevant experiences by many industries being taught various techniques and processes, it is easier to find entry level positions with honours versus standard degree. Master's degree in Botany considered more favourable then a degree or honours as it is considered postgraduate officially and provide more opportunities including assistant positions in universities / colleges , research positions as well as administrative positions.

The field of botany is very broad, with many different opportunities available from one industry to another. As highlighted below there are many different opportunities available in the field of botany. Government agency measuring toxicity in environment in relation plants, measuring toxicities affect on nature. In Laboratories some botanists will do experiments to discover how different plants grow under different conditions. Some Botanists will perform experiments in relation to plants converting simple chemical compounds into more complex chemicals and seeking explanations.

Administration work in biotechnology organization.
Teaching Students basics of botany in high schools through field of biology.
Researching plant development and its relation to DNA.
Write journal articles for Botanical Association of America about the various fauna and flora.
